As we have embarked on this new way of training, I have decided to morph my weekly training outside of class just a bit. I no longer try to fit in hubub or joint locks outside of class for the moment. I am going to use the extra time to put towards my new green belt material. Here is my goal for a good week of training:

Monday: Chest and back, core, punches and empty hand flow drills. Kung-Fu class.

Tuesday: Plyrometrics, kicks.

Wednesday: Shoulders and arms. Knife and stick drills. Kung-Fu class.

Thursday: Yoga.

Friday: Legs and back, core and green belt material focus.

Saturday: Hiking or keeping up with middle schoolers

Sunday: Stretch.

It has been a great week of training. I substituted my plyrometric workout with playing basketball at Linfield. I hadn't played for a couple of months, but moved well and found that my lungs are still up to par. Also ... I have decided to accelerate my green material practice. I am practicing my new material at least twice a day. Mr. Bronson let me know this last private class that our material normally doesn't become ours till we have 3,000 reps. As I sat down to map out how long it would take to get to my next goal of red belt, that time line was too long so I have accelerated the process.
