I have reached a rest week within my at home work-out ... though I love how the rest week really is just a change in flow. Normally my week has a chest/shoulder/tri, legs, back/bis, yoga, kempo and plyrometics with core on three of the seven days. This week is yoga, core synergistics, kempo, and stretching. Every fourth week is a rest week. I also continuing to train in the mornings on the hill outside our place for the mountains.

Also, a little update on my red belt material. I have the ten-count staff drill and passing lines feeling strong and good. I will be working those more with Dakota before class as the weather permits. Also, I was able to get the Dummy routine into my mind and body last week. I do it at least 10 times a day on my heavy bad at home. Not great for developing power and speed, but wonderful for knowing the material better. It also creates a hunger for me to get time with the Dummy any time that I can.

I also had a little treat this week. I went down to the coast to visit my family and work on my paper for this semester (and to free up Carla to work on her paper at home for a few days). Both evenings were clear and I was able to lose myself doing staff work and Chi Gung under the stars near the waves. Every once and awhile a wave would threaten to get me wet, but my awareness was peaked and I was able to dance away in time to continue with dry legs.
