I have completed one week of my new rotation of forms. It has been great training and I have had some new insights. After four days, I was about ready to call Mr. Bronson and ask him if we could schedule the test earlier rather than later because my familiarity with the forms felt good. I decided to give it a full week and before my second go through of the fast forms I gave some thought as to what curves Mr. Bronson my throw at me in the test. One of the thoughts I had was to practice doing the forms out of order.

So ... I put on Last of the Mohicans music in the background and created a random order of speeding through the forms. What I came to find out was my good familiarity with the forms has been overdeveloped in the order that I received them. Once I mixed them up and went fast, I wasn't smooth - I confused forms that are similar - and I became fatigued quicker! Ahh. I think I need another week of mixing things up before asking to schedule a test.

One addition that I also made was to add 8 minutes of double stick free flow after the speedy forms to allow for a better cool down.

Great explanation of what you are learning from your experience with the forms. I have found that there is no end ( that I can find ) to what can be gained by both continuous training and being mindful of what you are gaining through the process.
