I just got back from a short hike at Drift Creek Falls. When I got there, I found a sign from the US Forest Service saying that due to a lapse in gooberment funding the trail was closed. Well I went for my hike anyway and I think I enjoyed it more because it was closed. As I walked through the moss covered trees and the giant ferns I realized I was feeling a little naughty and somewhat patriotic because I was using our public lands without paying or having Obummer's permission. It seems denial of service is the muscle the gooberment uses to make us think we need them. I say thanks Barry, you saved me the $4.50 day use fee. Keep the shutdown, I'm doing fine. Go out and use your public lands with a warrior spirit my Kung Fu brothers and sisters. It's YOURS.  It will empower you!

Thanks

Dave

How could a state park be closed? Jumping barriers in life is most important for true growth.  It is important that all of us take those barriers down.

'Dave what a great story and thank you for sharing.  Love it.
