About three weeks ago I was playing basketball in a tournament and took a good shot to the knee Wednesday night. We ended up winning, but had two games on the next night to gain the championship. We were playing a more talented teams on Thursday, but I knew if we played together we could win with our attitudes, effort, and chemistry. Thursday came around and my knee was still sore and originally decided not to play. Our semi-final game was a challenge and we were getting smashed in the 1st half. Adrenaline started to pump and I decided to aid our team. I couldn't move well, but thanks to Kung Fu and the mountains, I may be the most mentally tough person on the team. We turned it around and won. We also ended winning the next game, at 11:00pm. It was a good choice for helping my guys grow in confidence, pushing their limits, and belief in themselves.

The cost of that choice, playing while injured, has slowed my form development. My knee is almost back to full health after three weeks. I was nearly done with my rough draft of my 2nd created form at the time, but had to put things on a slower pace with fewer reps. This morning I believe I completed my rough draft of my form and now will seek out Mr. Bronson to see how I can make it stronger, fuller, and more a reflection of where I need to grow. Every choice has a cost. Sometimes it is wise to count the cost and decide to not so something. Sometimes wisdom leads us to move forward regardless of the cost.

Time to get back to moving forward with singular focus in Kung Fu forms.
