A week ago I received my last piece to the broadsword form. I now have all my material to train for the 2nd degree black belt test. After a week with the full broadsword form, I feel like I can begin to push the form deeper, slower, faster, and as Sifu pointed out, focusing on my breathing during the form(s). The dream of getting to this point has been five years coming and I find my body waking up at 5:30am to get my work-outs in without being rushed. It has been a nice reminder to keep pushing after long-term goals. Energy and momentum will build, especially when you can see the goal in sight. My short-term goal is to complete the 2nd degree test. My long-term goal is to be transformed by doing forms for the rest of my life.
