I live alone and had no plans for Christmas day. When Sue and Joseph found out they said " you're coming with us". I was invited to go on a hike around Trillium Lake, only five miles, but on snowshoes! No offence but I couldn't think of anything fun about this. The couch potato in me was imagining frost bitten fingers and toes, sore muscles and cold wet misery. I was even thinking of excuses to get out of this for example "wow guys I would love to go but I think I'm getting this chest cold thing and stuff, cough cough". But the Kung Fu warrior inside said get off the couch, go with your friends and have an adventure. The warrior won.

What a beautiful perfect day! We had a few snow showers in the morning followed by periods of intense bright sunshine. When the sun hit the fresh snow it looked like tiny diamonds were sprinkled everywhere. We also had the birds, Whiskey Jacks, eating seeds right out of our hands. Look at the pictures on this site.

Humans only have a number of days to live and we don't know what that number is. The couch and the life of ease and convenience are stealing our our days, our health, and our adventures. Don't let the potato within steal your life. Be a warrior and choose adventure! Thank you Bronson-Sanders family for including me in your holiday adventure.
