This hike is in the beautiful scenic Columbia River Gorge.   We  completed this hike back in 2014 and for those of you who hiked with us, it is going to look a lot different this time.  This is the hike that they showed over and over again on the news when the gorge was on fire and yes there is little or no trees on it this time.  But the view from the top is spectacular.   It is a short hike,but a nice steep climb.  Here is a fellow students quote from that 2014 hike.  

"While I was hiking up the trail to Angel's Rest my chest was heaving and heart pounding I thought this is like eating those bitter greens that are so good for me. When we got to the top I was drenched with sweat but the view and the company of friends was magic. Get outside and challenge yourself, eat well and laugh a lot."

Only tea and dessert are provided this time. If you wish to enjoy tea and dessert with us the fee is $10.00

Please bring your meals for the day. 

After the hike we will enjoy our meals together at one of the water falls and hopefully Jim will bring his fire pit :)

Side Note:  If the weather is great,  after our meal, we will drive up to the Vista House and watch the sunset and yes with a cuppa tea or hot cocoa.   

Items to bring:  change of clothes,  snacks, lunch, snacks and dinner.  Water, make sure you have enough for a full day.   Its beautiful up there, bring a camera!  

This is a big, big reminder, no using your cell phone.  This is a day to honor our health and nature, cell phones don't honor nature or your health, no facebooking, TEXTING, or any other social media allowed.  If I catch you, (Sue is typing here)  Sue will tell you to do 100 push-ups, on the spot.. No, I am not kidding.   Let me remind you I have eyes everywhere, so no cheating.  And please remember that this is a school event and all school rules apply.
