Christmas hike

I live alone and had no plans for Christmas day. When Sue and Joseph found out they said " you're coming with us". I was invited to go on a hike around Trillium Lake, only five miles, but on snowshoes! No offence but I couldn't think of anything fun about this. The couch potato in me was imagining frost bitten fingers and toes, sore muscles and cold wet misery.
