Good to be back!

Back the saddle again ...

Greetings Mountain Warrior Kung Fu Academy. It has been some time since
I have posted on our ning site and it has been some time since I have
seen many of you. I was able to sneak in on Monday night after class to
have a private class with Sifu Bronson, but I didn't sneak in quiet
enough because Kevin caught me and told me many times how he has missed
me and how I was in danger of getting fat because I was gone so long.

Many changes have happened in the course of my summer off. But to
begin, for those of you I wasn't able to touch base with before my
summer break, my wife and I run a series of summer adventures for
teenagers all summer long. Since we were in and out of town so much we
both take the summers off our martial art training (she participates in
the school down the street on 99W). Thankfully, we were so active that
Kevin's concern isn't warranted.

Also during my time off, I needed to pick up another job due to our
economic times. I now work 5 days a week at George Fox University in an
office job, but we still live in McMinnville. In order to get through
my day (how do people sit all day long in these jobs and live??) I have
found that I need to work-out in the morning (most mornings I do P90X)
and then at lunch I go in the athletic facility and work on my Kung Fu
material or play basketball. This doesn't leave me much time to attend
classes. Currently with this change of season, I have decided that I
will pursue the second degree material through private classes with Mr.
Bronson.

Monday was my first step on this journey. It was great times. I am now
fitting in some time to do forms in the morning and at lunch. Shadow
... can you hear my footsteps? It is good to be back and I look forward
to start seeing you more and more as I can attend a class here and
there.
