Today, I worked out in a different spot up in the mountain. Took at longer walk with my 10 pound pack. I wanted to work out in the shade of the morning. The reason, I worked in the hot sun yesterday. I did not want to toast myself for the day. What I like about the spot it was a gravel hill with plants on the sides and in the middle. This would be a fun challenge.
I also had a plan to work my forms facing different directions today. My favorite part of my forms workout today was working Mantis Grab going up hill and down.
The morning was beautiful, the birds sang their song, we had sunny blue skies and mountain views. I had the pleasure of seeing a dragon fly, hear a deer bounce through the forest, look at what plants and herbs were coming up, watch my dogs and most of all have some time with my husband while we drank tea.
These last few days I have been a little tired. I have increased my workouts and my farm work has increased. I am averaging 8 to 12 hours of farm work a day, (we use no machinery and my farm has lots of hills). My wheel-barrel loads seemed especially heavy yesterday. The hill I have to push them up seemed extra big and I am thankful for Sophia. At one point I could not get the load up the hill. Before I called for Sophia I had tried several times which, was about 20 minutes worth of trying for one load. Sophia came over and said you got this Mom! Try again before I help you. I whined more than I should have. I just about made it all the way up the hill and she helped a little. Sophia is a great coach.
With all the work I am doing in the hot sun it is important to make sure I am fueling myself with great food and drinking lots of water
