My walk up the mountain today, was a bit challenging.  For those of you who do not know I have MCS.  So, today my body and my mind were having an argument.  As I walked up carrying my back-pack, I must have been in deep thought looking  down at the ground.  I realized that after I got up the first steep mile that I had not looked up once.  It was kind of funny, because all of a sudden I looked up and thought, oh yeah I am hiking up in the mountains and I am missing out on all the beauty around me.  Not that looking at the ground isn't beautiful, but I prefer to do that when I am sitting  in one place or laying down.   Obviously, I was not being fully aware of my surroundings, but during these times when I  need to push myself, I go deep inside and that is why I have a big big dog.  On this so called off days I actually push myself the hardest.  I take longer steeper hikes.   Some of you might say that is not good for me, but, for those of you who think that, you do not understand the healing power of nature.  Nature heals, she mends and she gives calmness.  Today's natures gifts were the sound of the wind, a light mist and some incredible stillness from the wildlife.  Have you ever felt the stillness of wildlife?   I decided that my tea time would be in my tree cave,(that is what I call it).  Something about the darkness of sitting under the evergreens felt very soothing.  As I started the tea pot, my thoughts of the day became my conversation.   My goals are to make herbal apple butter, spiced pumpkin butter, fire cider, longevity liqueur  for men and I need to move the horse piles for the coming growing season.   With my fun list for the day I am hoping I can get some socks washed and just maybe I can get some more herbal items made.   My tea was divine.  The herbs that I used were, damiana, hawthorne (that I harvested),burdock root, dandelion root, dried ginger and these herbs were mixed in spring water and full fat organic coconut milk.   After tea time was over,  I headed back home,  I felt good, rested and ready for my day.  Something we all need to remember is,  push yourself on your tired days, if you have a chronic illness push, push, push is all I can say, move your body no matter how hard it is.  If you feel stressed move your body, if you have sadness in your life, move your body, if you have depression in your life, move your body, if your kids have emotional issues, get them physically active every day for hours.  But, the most important thing to moving your body is...... Get your body, your family, your kids moving their bodies outside, in the mountains, to the beach, on the trails....... So my advise to you today is to hit the trails, bring a camp stove, healthy organic snacks and a tea pot (yes even if it is raining).  Sit in the forest, by a tree or in the mud... This is what heals

Now, I just need to get myself back on track with my forms.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
