Wahtum Lake Hike Canceled

I am saddened to say that the hike this Sunday is canceled.  I am positive all of you know this.  

We are watching the weather and fires before we re-schedule another hike.   Our goal is to reschedule this hike in October.   

Let's hope for some refreshing rain, and a quickening of the fires to be put out.  

Let's remember this, it is tragic that this has happened. But let's also remember that  most of the time fires are started by lighting, mother nature.   Fires are a way to cleanse and have rebirth on the land when needed.   

Think of it this way.  To us a seed looks dead and old on the outside, but inside it is alive and ready for he next season to come out of it's hard shell and grow.  

Let's look at the beauty that remains, and we all know it will be beautiful again.   

Natures does this naturally, it is the cycle of life and it is the death part that we humans have a hard time with.  Death only means life in some other form.. 

I am really looking forward to the next hike until then, just keep moving and find the positive in all things you see and do..
