I wanted to thank Sue for her posts relating to reflux. I've taken all sweet things, even most honey, and grains out of my diet, and my reflux, which was terrible, even interfering with my kung fu classes (often thought I would suddenly throw up during class!), is GONE! I have experimented a bit, and found that even my homemade granola, which has oats and quinoa and honey, aggravates it a bit. On my birthday, I ate a piece of birthday cake and the reflux returned within 5 minutes! THere it is.
Now I try to eat at least one raw beet everyday (in salad), and I use cider vinegar in the dressing.
No more breads, cereals, pastry, desserts.
sighhhh
oh well, I will be healthier, and I'm sure that once in a while I will fall off the wagon and wolf down some tasty treat, with the knowledge that it will give me heartburn.
