The seed of Cilantro is called Coriander.   Coriander is a spice that is used medicinally as a herb that helps the digestive system get rid of wind and ease spasm pain (colic)   It will ease diarrhea, especially in children.   Also used as a digestive aid. 

Actions:  carminative, aromatic and anti-microbial 

Preparation: 

Infusion:  Pour a cup of boiling water onto one teaspoonful of the bruised seeds.  Let infuse for five minutes in a covered pot.   Drink before meals.
