This year, like every other year for the past 10 years or more, the Kung Fu school performance team participated in the Christmas parade. It was our wettest year ever. I am so proud of the members of the team for being such great sports about the rain. They turned up the heat and put on a great performance.

Special thanks goes out this year to Milton Bates and Terry McLaughlin. Milton was in charge of the music ( Like every year ) and Terry was our vehicle driver ( now his permanent position, thank you Suzanne ). This year, right before the parade had started,  there was a fuse blow out in the music equipment. Terry and Milton took off to go find a fuse to fix the problem. As soon as they drove away one of the event coordinators told everyone that we had 2 minutes until the parade started. We did not know if Terry and Milton would make it back in time. The parade started and there was still no sign of our two man music department. We told the kids to get ready to perform without music. That's tough because we spend a huge amount of time practicing to the music. Just before we hit the actual performance area we heard a beautiful sound. It was Terry and Milton speeding down the road to catch up with us before we hit the main parade route. The music system was fixed and working great.

Our two hero's for the day. Milton Bates and Terry McLaughlin. If you see either one of these guys tell them thank you for helping to make the performance team performance go so smoothly.

I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday. Get ready to work off that extra slice of pumpkin pie at class this nest week. I look forward to seeing all of you at the beginning of the week.

Yours in the arts,

Sifu Joseph Bronson
