This week I had a mission! I had to dig a trench in the green house that was 44 inches wide , 27 inches deep, and the entire length of the green house which is  14 feet.  Now to protect my back I decided to do our Kung Fu stretching just before and take a 10 min break every hour to hydrate and do more stretching. I took extra mangnesium and had my daughter Mel bring me green tea at break times. Liz and PJ were on the dirt bucket brigade as the dirt had to be hauled outside. Very tedious. Pick axe in hand along with shovel and dirt rake I worked like this for one Friday, 8 hours total. Sore and tired at the end  of that day I took a hot shower and rubbed Su's heating balm everywhere. It worked. I was able to crawl out of bed the next day. Since it was my Sabbath I rested taking another hot shower, more heating balm rubbed in and rest! Then Sunday I went at it again! Same routine. I was not pain free but the task had to be complete for the hubby when he got home with the pipes and other materials for the radiant heat system.  Slow and steady. First the pick axe, then the shovel, then the measuring, then the dirt carried out the door by the kids.  I said to myself, this is probably how you will feel when you do your black belt test for Sifu Bronson! (Which is still very far away). All day Sunday. I was almost done. Then came Monday. My muscles were mildly sore. Hmmmmm! Not bad for a lady who is soon to be 57 in March! I just had about 4 more hours to go! Rake, rake, rake. Scrape, scrape, measure with the level! Tamping down here and there. Tea, stretching, hydration.....DONE!!!!! One more hot shower with Su's heating balm rub down as I was scraping the bottom of the jar! Man that stuff smells good!  Job  complete with minimal muscle damage! My hubby says he should have charged ME for the work out!!!!! KUNG FU!!!
