Cathe Fredericwow! My first impression, befor the blood tests was that his body was some how processing that lactate. However, lactate has other uses and I would think, one of them would be that of a safety valve. There are people born who can not experience pain either. They have to go through their lives being very cautious because they do not know when they hurt themselves. Let me review the current info on lactate.

Cathe Fredericalso Dawn in the above article it states that Spinach boots nitric oxide levels and that is responsible for improved muscle function. In theory then taking the amino acid L-Arginine prior to a run would allow for more efficient lactic acid burn as it increases nitric oxide in the blood stream and muscles. However! If anyone has a problem with Herpies virus they would want to avoid all sugars so their immune system is not compromised as the Herpies virus appears to thrive in an environment high in Arginine.

Cathe Fredericand if it were me I would make sure that my meals contained adequate protein to make certain I got a balance of other amino acids as well. And to take the L-Arginine only while training
