Friday I was fortunate to have had a two hour private lesson with Sifu. He began by giving me guidance for my growth in the Kung fu post Black belt journey. He pointed out that it is important to keep practicing the basics, but to really focus on the movement of each action. We also discussed other growth secrets, which will help me work toward the ultimate goal of mastery.

After giving me guidance, he helped fine tune my wooden dummy set. I learned that there is a fine line between technique and adding your own style to some of the movements. Sifu helped me understand why he teaches certain ways to avoid misinterpretation of the technique.

Next we worked up a sweat( or maybe just me) doing the new Black belt double stick sinwali set. Awsome is all I have to say about that.

Lastly he helped fine tune my beginning forms, so I will be ready to take the FORMS TEST NEXT WEEK. YEAH!

Look out (second degree Black belt, Matt) here I come.
