While it was still shady this morning I dove into some Kung fu training. I started with each beginning form and did each one four times, forty minutes. I am trying to work up to at least one hour of forms training so I can take the first forms test.
Next I headed over to my wooden dummy and worked him over for twenty minutes. I tied my fastest time, then I beat that time by three seconds. I think the only reason I beat my best time is because during that set the dummy kicked me in the knee cap. Instincts took over from Sifu's lesson on powering through the pain. I punched and kicked in a frenzy while proceeding to yell at the dummy. New record! Now that new record might be hard to beat unless the dummy starts kicking me again.
Finished with twenty minutes of stretching and Dit Da Jow. Happy training every one.

I laughed so hard reading this. Please keep your training adventures coming. I look forward to hearing how you come out with your next encounter with the wooden dummy.
