I am a Kung Fu instructor in the old sense of the term. “Kung Fu” literally translated means “Working hard towards great accomplishment”. So the term “Kung Fu“ is all encompassing for every aspect of our lives.

In the ancient tradition that we uphold here at the Mountain Warrior Kung Fu Academy it is most important to work at being “Kung Fu” in all things.

This is in every thought, every action. Without this extremely high standard what you are doing is not “Kung Fu”. You certainly can flail about and look impressive. Your physical skill can be amazing. But where is the “Kung Fu” in the rest of your life?

To be “Kung Fu” in one thing and not apply that ideal to everything is quite shallow. And there is certainly no personal mastery being developed in a life that is shallow.

Mastery as opposed to mediocrity is the only acceptable course for the warrior to follow. And that ideal is what every Kung Fu student should strive for.

As a Kung Fu instructor in the old tradition I, personally, uphold the ideal of seeking mastery in everything that I set my hand to.

I ask all of my students to recommit to joining me on this journey. Together we will seek to express the best life possible on every front.

Inactive students. It is time to start the journey again with renewed effort towards a powerful life path. Stop wasting time, length of life is finite. What will you be doing with the rest of yours?

Yours in the arts,

Sifu Joseh Bronson
