A couple of days ago Joseph and I started are usual workout up the hill with Bella and Rocky. It is a pretty steep hill. I usually start with Bella and Joseph has Rocky. On this day Bella was in a more relaxed mood and I found myself pulling her more. Usually she runs and I have to try to keep up. I always end up doing lots of cirlcles with her as we are going up. I do this to catch my breath and of course she is faster than I. Half way up Joseph took her because we needed her to run, she has to exercise too. At that point I do intervals of running to keep up with them. Of course Rocky pulls me because he wants to be with them. So the workout was this. Warm up by fast walking up the hill doing circles to catch my breath. Second part is interval sprints up with Rocky. This next part is what made us both really sore. We took turns riding her down bareback. For those of you who don't know, when you ride bareback especially on hills up or down you have to hold on with your legs. We have both been very sore from this. It also gives you an idea at how strong warriors were back in the day. I love the idea of being as strong as those warriors, and I am going to continue this workout with our animals in the mountain!
