Workout

My brother Max and I are training for our 2nd degree black belts together. Here was our morning workout.

We stared with Bi Fit Sao, today he did it with a bench held over his head (we only have one so we alternate days) for 2 minutes, then one minute of golden chicken on each side. Then we did forward bend, chin to toe and side to side stretches. Next was straight punching in horse stance, we both counted off 20 punches, then the same with side punches. After that we did 50…

The Human Legacy

If humanity does not soon come to its senses, and realize that it has been misled and misinformed by its intellectual leaders, the the prevailing laws of Nature (with poetic justice) will reliably act to bring about a fitting end to this ineptly contrived culture. Unfortunately, the most frightful catastrophes or scandalous disclosures will have to happen before people become aware that it is their own mistakes that have led to their undoing. These can be rectified only with great…

Attitude

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skills. It will make or break a company...a church...a home. the remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for the day. We…

First They Came

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

The Problem

This is a piece taken from Blood Orchid, by Charles Bowden. I haven't actually read the book, i just caught this section somewhere. Too long for an update. Hope you enjoy.

Imagine the problem is not physical. Imagine the problem has never been physical, that it is not biodiversity, it is not the ozone layer, it is not the greenhouse effect, the whales, the old-growth forest, the loss of jobs, the tongue in the mouth, the diseases stalking everywhere as love goes on…
