Developing depth

I am gearing up to present my latest form, Mantis Sweeping Bow, to forms class in two Fridays. Today I warmed up with doing four slow reps of my first four forms and then began my Mantis Sweeping Bow push.

4 reps of technical speed with MSwB

4 fast reps of MSwB clocked at 7 minutes and 35 seconds total.

2 tai chi speed reps of MSwB one at 5 minutes and 30 seconds and the other at 4 minutes and 50 seconds.

Moving forward

I was able to meet with Sifu this past week to show him my latest and last created form for the 2nd degree process and he approved it. I still need to make it stronger and smoother before I showcase it to the class and move forward to my final form, but it feels good to be moving forward.

It's a jungle out there

We took this photo at Deception Valley in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve located in Central Botswana. This is a young male who was not quite old enough to challenge for his own pride, but he roared throughout the night, letting the world know of his presence (a bit like teenage boys with their loud cars and stereos.)

My late night workout!

I've been training but not posting, sorry about my inactivity. Well here is what I did tonight.

Mixed heavy bag/free flow and squat jumps for cardio (18 minutes total ), about a 5-7 minute rest. Push ups until I dropped (got to 50). 20 weighted push ups, freestyle push ups,50 chainsaws with 10 gallon water jugs(each arm)and about 13 mins of core.
