Forms workout

Today I did forms first slowly for technique for ten minutes, then smoothly and slowly in Tai qi style, then fast, each round for ten minutes. Boy do I have a long way to go, but at least I feel good! Also ramping up for the Habitat walk.

Arghhh! Monsanto again!

I just read that the EU has blocked France's ban on GMO maize. I don't know how to take articles off of Facebook and post them here, but anyone can check out the Occupy Monsanto Facebook page. The article is on that site. Apparently, the US had quietly threatened a "military style" trade war if EU countries banned Monsantos corn. Wikileaks got the story out.

Monday's class

Monday afternoon I was thinking to myself that I could sure use some work on my stick work, and that this is the hardest thing to practice at home, and as it turns out the class focused heavily on stick work, both five part and three part! My lucky day! I find it very helpful to be forced to go quickly from 3-part to 5- part and vice versa, since there are so many levels of students in the class. This way makes me think faster.

I also loved the beginner gun class last Sunday. I Might be… Continue

Teaching & Preparation

Last Thursday evening Mr. Bronson asked me to lead class as part of my learning and development.....what an exercise....as much for the grey matter as the rest of the muscles.

It would have been nice to have been notified beforehand so that I could have prepared.........hmmm.....it also would be nice to be notified beforehand that someone is going to attack you so that you can prepare yourself.

Such was the secondary benefit of this training exercise....training the brain to…

My Two Cents: Whooping Cough & Radioactive Fall Out

Washington state health officials have declared a whooping cough epidemic in order to seek help from federal experts on the disease. The CDC is sending investigators to Washington to take a look at why the illness is running rampant... Well this is the problem.... I am using Chernobyl for the example.. Washington has been getting fallout from Fukushima ...There was activation of retroviruses (Kavsan et al., 1992). Try this workout!

Try this awesome workout! Do 20 pushups then switch directly to weight lifting(With free weights) for 1min. After that do any kind of leg workout for 1min; do this rotation 5 times, then end it with 50 crunches. After the crunches hold a plank(both arms on the ground) for 1min. When your done with the 1min plank do 10 more crunches. You should also add some free flow to the workout. Be sure to drink plenty of water, take short breaks, and stretch afterwords.
