Earthquake Safety Tips

Pictured below is the California 1989 earthquake.  At the time of the earthquake, I was living in the Bay Area and I was 7 1/2 months pregnant with my daughter Raquel.  I had a friend who was at the World Series, it was the Oakland A's against the San Francisco Giants.  She was amazed and thankful no one panicked and nothing happened to the stadium

There were many people who were not prepared, including myself.  It occurred to me that I have not put any blogs up lately on…

Bye Bye Coffee

Well, I will be giving up the one last, obvious bad habbit I have after watching a video a friend posted on caffiene.  I really want to save what I have left of my exhausted adreanal glands so as of NOW, it will be home made herbal teas with nut milks, also home made of course. However, if you don't hear from me for a few days, please plan an intervention, as I may still be trying to crawl to my computer!

Your Health

This morning, while my daughter and I were working on our projects, we decided to  listen to Paul Chek.  He has a video series on coffee and espresso.  I strongly recommend you listen to this.

Before I was hit with my illness, I was extremely athletic and pushing my body beyond its limits.  I was a coffee junkie.  At the time of my coffee addiction, (which most …

Back In Training -- Smiley Face :)

Today will be the first Kung Fu Training that I have done since I took a big down fall with my MCD in August.

Back in August I was two weeks away from taking my first forms test.  A series of events took me down like a weight tied to my leg in deep water. It came in from the back door and I did not see it hit. On a Sunday night I was up all night, working on surviving the night.  It was not fun and I do not even like to mention it.  I want to act like it never happened, I want to…

cleaning the cupboards

Today I was cleaning out cupboards, getting rid of some out of date things, finding a few things for the chickens, when I found...an old bottle of CANOLA OIL!!! Eeeeek! Out with it!

It is now in the trash can. I think it must have come with me when I first got divorced and moved into this house, it was tucked so far back in the cupboard.

It's important for me to go through stuff, shed things. Each time I do it the bar is set higher, and while I once thought some things were…

Turkey Day - Turkey's For Sale

Support your local farmer, that put love and time into taking care of their animals

These days when you buy a Butterball, Safeway turkey, and any other non -organic brand from a big box store, you are getting toxic meat.  You are supporting big corporations.   These  turkey's live in their crap, had their beaks de-beaked, fed antibiotics and GMO grain.  They live in big pole barns crammed together.  There are so many in their big metal barns…

The Owl In The Oak - Silent Wisdom

There are many definitions of health.   Health is about taking care of your emotions, feelings of being sad, feelings of anger, learning to forgive and purging out what does not need to be in your heart  anymore.  It is about letting go, forgiving yourself, forgiving others and growing from your experiences. To know that we are all different and to accept those differences as long as they do not harm  or take away  freedoms.  …

Another small milestone towards the big one

Yesterday I received the final moves of the Wallum 2nd form. It is another step to celebrate in my journey towards to the 2nd degree test. I am about half way through creating my 2nd form. Once that form, tentatively called Five Creeps, is finished and strong Mr. Bronson will have me begin learning Little Mantis. After Little Mantis, I create another personal form before beginning the final form to be learned before the 2nd degree test. I am nowhere near the summit on this mountain climb,…
