Understanding Kung Fu for life, health and self defense
I reached another milestone today, one for which I am very excited about. I finished my third self-created form (at least the rough draft of it). It is called the Mantis Sweeping Bow and it is so fun ... and challenging. I look forward to deepening the strength of it and showing it to Sifu soon. This is the last self-created form for me to finish before testing for 2nd degree. If Sifu likes it, I get to move onto learning the final form before the 2nd degree test. Wahoo!

Yesterday's 8 mile hike was incredible. What a memory! The wind was energetic and gave enormous energy. We had figured it was about 60 mph, but after reading this article it might have been more. We literally felt like we were flying in some parts of our hike. After the hike we cooked organic food in the parking lot and drank shots of fire cider (non-alcoholic drink that is made with apple cider vinegar, horseradish, garlic, cayenne, onions, ginger and ginseng). Yesterday my workout was to shovel 10 inches of snow off my 200 foot long driveway.

This week I had a mission! I had to dig a trench in the green house that was 44 inches wide , 27 inches deep, and the entire length of the green house which is 14 feet. Now to protect my back I decided to do our Kung Fu stretching just before and take a 10 min break every hour to hydrate and do more stretching. I took extra mangnesium and had my daughter Mel bring me green tea at break times. Liz and PJ were on the dirt bucket brigade as the dirt had to be hauled outside. Very tedious.…
